Fleas are the most common parasite we treat in homes with dogs and cats across Penrith, St Marys, Cranebrook and Glenmore Park. A single female lays up to 50 eggs per day — and those eggs fall off the pet into carpet, lounges, pet bedding and floorboard gaps.
The flea life cycle has four stages: egg, larva, pupa and adult. Pupae are sealed in a sticky cocoon that is virtually immune to insecticide — they only hatch when triggered by vibration and CO2 (i.e. a pet or person walking past). This is why fleas seem to ‘come back’ weeks after a treatment.
Our treatment uses an adulticide for immediate knockdown, plus an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) that prevents eggs and larvae from developing into biting adults. The IGR remains active for 6+ months. Carpets, rugs, pet bedding and subfloor areas are all treated.
Small pest problems rarely stay small in Penrith's climate. Cockroaches can contaminate food areas, rodents can damage wiring and insulation, and termites can keep eating structural timber long before the damage is visible. A proactive inspection or treatment costs a fraction of a major infestation.
Family-owned and locally operated since 2004. Over 25,000 jobs completed across Penrith, the Blue Mountains and the Hawkesbury — backed by $20m public liability cover and a written service guarantee.

Before treatment: vacuum thoroughly (this triggers pupae to hatch), wash pet bedding on hot, and book a same-day vet flea treatment for the pet itself. The two together are what break the cycle — treating the home without the pet, or the pet without the home, almost always fails.
